I can't help build a house. Is there some other way of helping? |
Welcome to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury There are few families who do not dream of owning a home of their own. But one of the main obstacles to home ownership is difficulty in finding affordable housing with manageable financing. For families with low incomes, it is more difficult...and usually impossible. But Habitat for Humanity helps make home ownership dreams come true through providing no-profit, no-interest mortgages. Habitat for Humanity helps bring hope to qualified, limited-income families. Habitat becomes a friend and partner to those in need. Habitat of Greater Waterbury is in need of LAND. We are also in need of new/used tools. See photos of The Third Annual Gala, City of Dreams 2008 As a Christian-based organization, we invite people of all faiths to partner with us in building dreams.....one house at a time. The History of Habitat for Humanity Since its founding in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 150,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing. more Our Mission Statement: Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends. |
